We're now recruiting experienced choral singers for
our 2011 season.
"I
want them leaving rehearsals feeling they were approached by something
they don't have in their daily lives, something beautiful and special."

Music Director & Assistant Conductor at the Metropolitan Opera
 Hailed
by the New York Times as one of Westchester's "most ambitious"
choruses, the Hudson Valley Singers sold out January's performance of Handel's Susanna.
In the spring of 2008 we performed Robert Schumann's incomparable Das Paradies und die Peri. (Professionally produced DVDs available soon!)
We performed both arrangements of Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in April 07. Originally scored for piano and harmonium, Rossini also orchestrated it a few years later. The orchestral arrangement is very rarely performed and we're not aware of any other group that has ever sequentially performed both versions.
Summer 2007 Concert Tour in Budapest
We also performed Mozart’s Mass in C Minor this summer at two of Budapest’s most magnificent venues: the 700 year-old Mátyás-templom and The Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Joining us in the “Grand Mass” will be a semi-professional local chorus and specifically auditioned soloists and orchestra.
We are currently looking for committed sopranos and tenors to join us for our coming a cappella performances of Victoria, Rameau, Bach, Mozart, Verdi, Debussy and Poulenc in January 2011.
Formal auditions are not required, but singers are expected
to prepare on their own between rehearsals. We
welcome experienced singers in all voice parts. Voice
part CDs are available.
We
rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm in the Glee Club room of The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry. All interested singers are welcome in all voice parts. High school and college students,
too.
