We will be performing a collection of masterful a cappella
works by
Bach, Brahms and Tchaikovsky on Sunday, May 2. Don't miss it!
These delightful pieces
sound all the better thanks to the the magnificent acoustics of the White
Plains Presbyterian Church.
Back in January we
performed Bach's incomparable B Minor Mass there and it sounded
absolutely fantastic. Darn shame an untimely blizzard kept some people
from getting there to hear it. We also performed it in New York City on
Sunday, January 25th, to a full house at St.
Michael's Church - at the corner of 99th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.
We sold out our last few performances ~ so don't miss

(As an aside, it was
Mozart's discovery of Bach's genius for counterpoint that caused the greatest
creative crisis of young Wolfgang's career. He struggled mightily with
the polyphonic form, which he finally mastered in the C
Minor Mass. If you'd like to read more about the dramatic family stresses
that drove Mozart to compose the Grand Mass, click
