Dear singers,
Excited to welcome more singers into our midst and to hear our sound getting richer and fuller!
Wednesday, September 16 rehearsal we have started #7 and #26 and continued working on #35. Going fast, perhaps, too fast. Next Wednesday let's continue reviewing the music we have learned so far.
REMINDER - if you work on the music yourself, please be mindful of the need to articulate the text and, when possible, slightly separate even the smallest notes, as we did in the choral #3 the last time.
We have also started and went through "Someday", the last movement of the Cantata. Going through the music with you I've realized, it's difficult to get a good idea of what it should sound like without discussing it more, its orchestral accompaniment, its continuity and others, so obvious to me, merits. I hope to be able to dedicate more time to it at the next rehearsal.
Our Bass, Dietrich, kindly forwarded me 4 Web-links to the voice parts available for $42 from Peters Edition. He has also emailed me 2 sample MP3 tracks, which I'm happy to share with anyone who is thinking of purchasing the CDs from the Website but wants to hear samples first. Just write me a note to nymetamorc@gmail.com.
